Come fill me again

Me: I love listening to ironic music selections on my ipod while walking to school [from the subway] in the morning.

Bobby: Ironic, how?

Me: You know, like John Denver.

Bobby: [blank stare]

Me: “You fill up my senses, like a night in the forest. Like the mountains in springtime. Like a walk in the rain…”

My senses are more filled up with the smells of exhaust and urine, the soggy weight of used tampons that occasionally litter the sidewalk, the scuff of trash blowing in the wind, and of course, disembodied voices screaming “HI, MS. [my last name]!!!!!” from the schoolyard.

I wanted to leave you a nice little picture of Mr. Sedaris with HTML. Alas, your blog people forbode it. I hope you are doing well in NYC. I’m running out of things in Austin and I’m getting bored with it. Don’t be surprised if I’m in San Francisco before next year is through.
