Rate-A-Date: Cade

Occupation: Corporate grunt at an investment banking firm you’ve heard of.

Length of date: 5 hours

What we did: Cade and I decided to spend Friday night in rather than go out, because I’d been feeling tired. He got off work and followed through on his secret plan to bring dinner to my movie. Cade brought brie, crackers, grapes, a rotisserie chicken, and red wine. I bought Annie Hall and a corkscrew. We ate and watched Woody Allen’s masterpiece.

High point: The food was thoughtful and tasty. Cade enjoyed the film.

Low point: I wish the dvd had more features. Also, I didn’t have wine glasses, so we drank out of glass tumblers, which just aren’t as cool. (I’ve since bought wine glasses).

Overall impression: What a nice night. I swear, we’re practically married…in a good way.

Reason I went on the date: There’s no one else I’d rather spend Friday night with.

He stipulated: “I lurrrve you… I luff you…”

I learned: Eating a strawberry on top of brie on top of a cracker tastes good. Annie Hall is one of my favorite movies. Had I been around when Allen filmed it, I’d have been a groupie.

Chance I will see him again: Definite.

    Sounds lurrrvely!

And good call on the wine glasses. After a few years of serving wine in either mason jars or a Big Gulp travel mug (hey, you can get the whole bottle in there!) I was given “real” wine glasses for Christmas last year.

As for the Tar-zhay adventure….2.5 hours in housewares, and he didn’t go running for the hills. Sounds like you’ve got a keeper!
