A walk in the park

I took the day off to spend some time with my dad before he takes off tomorrow afternoon. Having helped him install track lighting and bookshelves last weekend just doesn’t seem to be ideal quality time.

So today we walked around Central Park for hours in the blazing heat. Our final destination was the Apple store on 5th Avenue. My dad was so sun-stricken by the end, that he thought the shiny cube was a mirage.

I used our outing to try out the new camera my dad gave me. It’s a big, fancy one that bangs into my chest with every step. I figure it’s a good reminder to take pictures. Here are some of the ones from today’s trek:







I asked my dad to try to capture one of my Mario Brothers jumps in order to verify that we could capture movement. It worked out.

    It’s a Canon Digital Rebel XT, but you can call it Hank.
