Summer awakening

One of the strangest turns my life has recently taken is that one of my new job duties includes interviewing CEOs and other top executives about the latest in business, technology, and marketing.

This is expected of someone who just one year ago, spent a significant portion of her weekdays supervising recess.

Even more unusual than that, someone who just sent her first text message yesterday.

On the cusp of the Apple keynote unveiling the new iPhone, I got the original. I’ve felt this weird feeling before - either I’m suffering from heat exhaustion or I’m giddy with infatuation. (Actually, both. The temperature has been in the 90s for the past three days).

Texting is cool. The iPhone is cool. We’ll call this my Summer Awakening.

Thanks! I’m a texting machine, but with complete spellings and punctuation.

haha me too. I’m the only one of my friends who actually spells out the words “you” and “are”. I also use apostrophes and all other punctuation. It’s also a way that you can tell it’s me texting and not someone pretending to be me. Security purposes haha.
