Subway car confession

img_0958

When I’m the only person on the subway - an occasion so rare that I can count the number of times it’s happened to me in three-and-a-half years on one hand - I make it a point to sing as loudly as I can.

I keep my eyes on either connecting door between cars and let the train’s rhythm become my own.

When the train stops, I’m brave enough to keep humming. Even if someone else gets on.

I turn the train into a jungle gym

I’d do that to…if I had any upper body strength. I also like to stand in the middle of the car and peek into passing trains that are more occupied.

Hm. The noisestpassenger is noisiest when riding alone? Hm.

Of course if you hum, and they don’t, the title remains yours.

I also flip pages of books really loudly sometimes…

    How are you, Jim?
