Nearly as boring as cosine

Over the weekend, Jing went to the commitment ceremony of her math teacher and his partner. The entire seventh grade was invited, and no one was unaccepting or hateful. The fact that the story didn’t make news ended up making news - the front page of The New York Times City section, I think. Today Jing was telling me her decidedly unromantic impression of the ceremony.

Jing: It was boring. There was so much talking. I videotaped 13 minutes, because I didn’t know when they’d kiss. And then when they did, it was so short and not at all like in the movies.

Me: Yeah, I think wedding kisses are usually like that. Did they read vows that they wrote for each other about how much they love each other?

Jing: Yeah. And they were boring, too.

  1. Hi Amanda…

My company, Elemental Interactive, is partnering with the UniverSoul Circus (www.universoulcircus.com) to integrate their current promotional efforts into a Social Media strategy. One of our initiatives is the “Blogger Experience.” (sounds dramatic huh?) In this, we solicit bloggers per major city to join us at the circus… talk to some of the cast and crew, go on a tour back stage, schedule interviews with major circus players, eat funnel cakes, take pictures… and of course, go home and write about the experience.

The next Blogger Experience is in Brooklyn this Friday at 7PM. We have a small list scheduled to come, but would like to grow the list a bit more before Friday… (sorry for the late notice). The venue will be Prospect Park in Brooklyn. If you are interested in attending (for free obviously) please email me at kparker@elementalintearctive.com or give me a call at 404-975-4933 (office) or (404-862-8971).

    Thanks!!
    Kristin P.
