From the same publisher as Curious George Buys Crack in the Ghetto

heinies

I’m walking in Brooklyn with my friend Jeremy. We pass a children’s bookstore window display. One title catches my eye.

Me: Ha! There was a book in there called Always Lots of Heinies at the Zoo.

Jeremy: What?!

Me: Always Lots of Heinies at the Zoo.

Jeremy: Oh, “heinies.” I thought you said “hymies,” the derogatory word for Jews. I couldn’t believe a children’s books would be called that.

Me: You thought it was a racist series?

Jeremy: Yeah. The previous book was Always Lots of Chinks at the Airport.
