Chi-Town, what’s goin’ on?

Is there something I absolutely must see or do when I’m in Chicago from Thursday to next Monday? A place to eat and drink? A nice backdrop for some photos? Local haunts that shun tourists?

Please let me know, because listening to Kanye West songs is not enough.

My favorite things to do in Chicago:
    1. Hang out in Millennium Park - especially near the bean and the waterfall. That’s tops for me, especially in the summer. And it looks like there are free concerts @ noon (daily).
    2. Eat @ Ed Debevick’s. Okay, I’m massacring this spelling, I think. But it’s kind of a fun place, if memory serves me.
    3. I really want to go see the Harry Potter exhibit @ the Museum of Science and Industry. It looks like you can see it on IMAX there, too. But all of the major museums are fun - and so conveniently located, pretty much all in a row…
    4. The DuSable Museum of African American History and the National Museum of Mexican Art are both cool. A little off the beaten path, but lots of fun. Especially the second.
    5. Also, Home Run Inn pizza is divine. Not in the box. At the restaurant.

    Have fun!

Thanks for the recommendations! I’m definitely checking out the Museum of Science and Industry, Navy Pier, one of the beaches, the el, and whatever else I stumble on. Pictures and tales of misadventures to come!
