Let’s get this pity party started

TBID and I broke up.

I’m devastated.

Hurt.

Hurt.

Hurt.

This won’t be forever, yet it’s just the beginning. I’m alternating between numb and throbbing.

I’ll write more when I feel up to it. Until then, I’m listening to this:

Some day he’ll see your face-in a crowd from afar, on the cover of your best seller, or in an eatery- and he’ll remember and regret-if he has a brain that is.

I know I’m just a stranger following your blog…but just thought I would offer up this small token of empathy - I just went through a breakup 2 months ago - so I can relate. I’m very sorry to hear about yours. Here’s the brief on how mine went down: http://nathanfitzgerald.wordpress.com/2009/06/25/hello-world/

I live hundreds of thousands of miles away from New York City. I’ve never met you in person. But yet, you made me feel ‘at home’ whenever I read your posts. I could really relate to you. And now I do more than ever. TBYD is history. I know that to be strong is better said than done, but try. As Marcus Aurelius once said ‘Reject your sense of injury and the injury itself disappears’.

    I wish you strength.

Aw I’m so sorry to hear that. I’m hoping your friends are on standby to take you out for drinks and dancing - I would if I was in NYC xoxo
