One of those weeks

This last week has been busy. Lemme sum it up all easy-like.

Monday:

I went to a comedy seminar and ran into this cheap guy who took me on two beverage dates recently.

Yeah, that’s right. We just had tea. We just had wine. So we’re gonna be just friends.

It was awkward randomly seeing him, as I lost his contact information (or any desire to use it) quicker than I would a Post-It note.

He was on his way to coffee with someone. I laughed. Of course, he was! Does he consume solids?

Tuesday:

I spent a few hours with two creative women who are working on a creative project that may involve me.

I’m not sure how much else I can say. Wish me luck and eloquence!

Wednesday:

I had so much writing to do that I had to skip a goodbye party my friend Mike threw in honor of a cyst he got removed today.

Yeah, a cyst.

He started calling it Fred awhile back, so it was called the “Drop Dead Fred” party.

Thursday:

My friend Elizabeth met me for lunch. She nearly got lost in Battery Park.

Fred has moved to a lab in Lower Manhattan. Mike doesn’t miss him yet.

I was Googling images of pylar cysts when my boss came into my office.

It’s a little awkward getting caught looking at cysts at work.

Tonight, I turned in 16 pages of writing for my fiction class workshop.

I’m so relieved that I’m counting Friday as a weekend day.

Being busy is great. Also, adorable pictures. And, I want to know about your unique project!

PS: Your friend isn’t weird. I once named a giant blister I had gotten while frying myself to a crisp in Hawaii. Well, I called it “Boebalee” which is close to a name, I guess.

I name inanimate objects often. Not so much maladies or blemishes, unless they really grow on me the sentimental way.

    I think if I had a cyst I’d name it Kanye…
