I used to love reading Overheard in New York when it first launched. The novelty wore off as the conversation snippets seemed more and more similar, ludicrous, or racist.
But these quotes from subway conductors - who definitely say funny stuff sometimes - made me laugh:

I fairly sure that if I was a conductor, I would be one that sings the stops.
I’d be the one with the dark streak who says normal delays are much more dangerous than they are. “Ladies and gentlemen, we’re waiting in the station until that madman with the chainsaw finishes what he started. Bwahahaha!”
