Does creative writing belong on Twitter?

Life Coach texted me some writing advice just now:

I think pithy bursts of creative writing make sense on Twitter, and that professional writers are behind some of the best tweets.

Even when they’re not, I think the 140-character freedom to express whatever we want to, however we want to reinforces the idea that any of us can have fun with language.

But I also see how some might argue that Twitter is best used to post random updates or drive traffic to other online destinations, including destinations with long-form creative content.

Whether you tweet or not, do you think Twitter should be viewed as a place for creative writing?
