Well, I was thinking - one of us writes the first line or the first stanza, then the other one continues. So forth, so on. The first one picks out the topic/theme. We could also involve more people…? Or does that sound too conventional?

This reminds me of some collaborative blog posts a friend once did. Three women bloggers would all blog their short take on a theme and it would be put in one blog post. For instance, the theme might be “luck” and all three would post a paragraph that somehow related to luck. It was interesting to see how alike and different the responses could be.
Interesting. I find it fascinating that with all the global mass marketing and brain wash, we are still able to create something extraordinary and original.
