Afternoon Delight

The best commercial ever

Little Richard for Geico

Alright, this is my last Youtube gimme post. I saw this for the first time tonight (well, this morning - I can’t sleep). It was the only good thing on television I encountered. Insomnia clearly has its benefits.

Margaret Cho - Asian Chicken Salad

I’ve followed Margaret Cho since she was in her failed sitcom, All-American Girl. I’ve seen her live once and try to keep up with her specials. Last week, I was trying to tell Cade about this particular act, and doing it absolutely no justice. Watch it!

Chapelle’s Show Lost Episodes: Tupac Lives

I saw this skit a few months ago, and have been annoyingly singing improvised snippets of it…until now.

Idiot boyfriend

*I love the Jimmy Fallon song “Idiot Boyfriend” and Cade took this into consideration when he bought me what is by far, the weirdest birthday gift I’ve ever received:

wallet
It’s a rather well-made and convincing Louis Vuitton knockoff, but the coin pouch part of it has torn. Sometimes pennies slip out of it, which convinces me that I will lose tens of dollars if I don’t get a new wallet soon.

That which we call meme

10 years ago I was: Twelve. It was a very awkward time of my life. I had braces, bangs I tried and tried to grow out, an unhealthy obsession with wearing vests and leggings… I was Amanda, Duchess of Dork. In junior high, I discovered theater (particularly musical theater) and suffered the consequences of that for years. I’ve not fully recovered, but at least I don’t only listen to showtunes and rent “Oklahoma!” anymore.
